Assumptions: fiber ports and pluggable optics are the default. A standard optical link uses one compatible optic at the A-side and one at the B-side. A DAC or AOC is one complete cable assembly per physical link. Breakout polarity, unequal-end configurations, integrated optics and partially populated ports require NRCube review.
